Microsoft is not resting on its oars. The deal it entered into with Yahoo seems to be going one sided and to Microsoft's advantage. Currently Bing now controls 10% of market share while yahoo search continues to suffer. To profit more, Microsoft has just released a Bing iPhone application that lets users access Bing search from their Smartphone. This application has been available since December 15 on the iPhone application store. This is a move by Microsoft to make some money from their strong rival to the Window mobile phone: iPhone is gaining shares to the detriment of the window mobile phone.

Before now, there have been similar applications on a number of phones including Window mobile and on phones available to Verizon wireless customers. This same application by Microsoft also exists for the SideKick on Verizon, BREW, and Blackberry.
